- When in doubt, it's almost certainly Microsoft/Windows fault.
- Dropping DTR is the way the software is supposed to hang up the modem. It
- sounds like you're software or com driver is lowering DTR for some reason
- right after it answers the phone, so the modem does what it's supposed to
- do on a DTR drop and hangs up the line. Try pushing up the S25 register
- from the default of 5 to something like 10 or 15. This controls how many
- 1/100ths of a second DTR must be lowered before the modem interputs it as
- a hang up. If that doesn't work, you could always set &D0, which tells
- the modem to ignore DTR drops, of course then the only way you'll be able
- to hang up the connection on your end is to drop into command mdoem and
- issue an ATH command.
